New BlackBerry Dynamics SDK Releases for Android, iOS and Cordova

The following BlackBerry Dynamics SDK releases are now generally available: 

  • BlackBerry Dynamics SDK for Android v9.0.0.72  

  • BlackBerry Dynamics SDK for iOS v9.0.0.75 

  • BlackBerry Dynamics SDK for Cordova v8.1.0.252 

 

Key highlights: 

BlackBerry Dynamics SDK for Android version 9.0 

  • Changes to programmatic activation: Updates have been made to ApplicationState.ActivationParameter to support short activation passwords for programmatic activation.  

  • GD_fsync public API: New BlackBerry Dynamics C programming interface for fsync().

BlackBerry Dynamics SDK for iOS version 9.0 

  • Support for Xcode 12: This release adds support for Xcode 12. 

  • Changes to programmatic activation: Updates have been made to ActivationParameter to support short activation passwords for programmatic activation. 

  • GD_fsync public API: New BlackBerry Dynamics C programming interface for fsync(). 

  • Apple M1 Devices: BlackBerry Dynamics apps cannot be activated on Apple M1 devices.  Support for M1 devices will be added in a future release.

BlackBerry Dynamics SDK for Cordova version 8.1 

  • Support for Cordova 10: This release adds support for Cordova 10 and removes support for Cordova 9. 

  • Following plugins have been removed from the SDK package and are now available on BlackBerry GitHub

  • cordova-plugin-bbd-file 

  • cordova-plugin-bbd-file-transfer 

  • cordova-plugin-bbd-sqlite-storage
