Enterprise Instant Messenger is back!

EIM and its support for Microsoft Lync and IBM Sametime returns with the latest update to BES12. This much loved app in the Workspace was missing its companion BES component, the BCS (BlackBerry Collaboration Service) with the launch of BES12.  With the latest update to BES12.1, BCS 12.1 is now available.  If you have been waiting to upgrade to BES12 in hopes of the inclusion of Enterprise Instant Messenger, now is the time! Head to www.blackberry.com/bes12 to learn more and get a free trial (in the cloud or on premise).

For more general info on EIM, check out this business blog entry:

BCS comes with BES12.1, but as a separate installer.  For details on installation, and more information, such as how to configure BCS for use with Microsoft Lync and IBM Sametime check these links:

If you’re a Cisco Jabber user, no BCS was required, so it continues to work with BES12.1 as it did with BES12.0.
