Happy New Year and welcome to 2017!

In 2016 we yet again saw many acquisitions and changes at BlackBerry as we continued our shift. With our focus becoming quite clear, we have great expectations for 2017. Before we get too far ahead of ourselves, we would like to reflect on some of our top blog posts from 2016.

With the acquisition of Good Technology, we began offering a BlackBerry Dynamics (formerly Good Dynamics) Overview and introduction to the platform by Building Your First Secured App. After many months of collaboration and hard work, we finally Introduced the BlackBerry Development Platform, offering developers the ability to expand their scope, focus on driving business value to enterprise organizations and enhance the end user experience by developing secure, feature-rich mobility solutions.

We also announced new releases of BES12 (now UEM), from versions 12.3 to 12.6, a cloud update and BES12 v12.5: Activating Work Only (COBO) Android for Work on Android 6.x.

There was plenty of excitement in the Android development world when we announced that BlackBerry Integrity Detection is here!

We also listened to our developer community and offered native developers a great way to feature their amazing apps on BlackBerry World with Great Apps on BlackBerry. This program is still ongoing and you can expect to see our next collection of top native applications featured at the end of the month.

Further to this, we created the Developer Hero Program as a way to award our amazing and devoted developer community. After two months and hundreds of eligible submissions we finally announced the well-deserved Developer Hero Program Winners!

With much excitement on the road ahead, we wish you a prosperous New Year!
