built for blackberry webcast

Watch the recording now.

Last week we took to the air with a live Built for BlackBerry webcast hosted by Built for BlackBerry experts Tom Anderson and Jessica Arthrell.

Tom and Jessica covered everything you would ever want to know about Built for BlackBerry, including the new developer checklist, the expanded language support, the new submission process, the increased visibility in BlackBerry World and more in under an hour.

Members of the BlackBerry Developer Relations team also answered dozens of questions during the informative event – here’s some of the most common ones:

Q: Will Built for BlackBerry apps need to remove the peel icon?

A: Yes. With the Built for BlackBerry identifier and logo badge in BlackBerry World introduced on July 17, the peel is being phased out. Vendors have 60 days to remove it.

Q: How long will it be before I hear back about the status of my application?

A: The Built for BlackBerry Testing Team’s goal is to provide a response within 10 business days of submitting your application.

Q: How many languages am I required to support?

A: As long as your app supports one of the 34 supported languages then it may be eligible to earn Built for BlackBerry certification.

To see and hear the rest of the questions and to learn even more about the Built for BlackBerry program and how you can earn Built for BlackBerry certification, watch the recording now.
