I want to know why AppWorld isn’t available in Vietnam, my country. I want to download free applications from Appworld. I have a Paypal account, I can purchase applications from it.

My app has been pending review for a while now…no word on where it is in the queue. If I edit my submission to fix a bug, will it be put in the back of the line? How long are apps taking to be approved these days? Would be nice to see a blog post on these issues…

Happy to help. You can definitely change your vendor information and name after the fact. It would be a similar process to the initial vendor process but you would be able to leverage your existing account to do it.

Hi Mkirkup,

Thank you very much for answering so quickly! I’m glad to hear that I can submit an app that would probably fall in a popular catagory.

Also, when signing up to obtain the PlayBook simulator and to be an App World vendor it asks for your ‘vendor name’. I am planning on registering a business name, but I’d like to begin development ASAP. If I enter my full name as my vendor name, for now, will I be able to change it later if I get a registered business name? Hopefully this question isn’t too far outside the scope of this article.

Appreciate the question. Some vendors have already started publishing their apps in the catalog so you can see that on our web portal today. But as a general comment, the terms and conditions are meant simply to prevent abuse. If you are building a great app then it doesn’t matter how many other applications are in the same category or area.

I would like to develop an application for the PlayBook, but I don’t want it to be rejected because of others submitting applications of the same type. Is there any way to see what kind of applications are being submitted?
