Does anyone know how long it took for RIM to ship the free PlayBook? I received the "congratulations, confirm your shipping address" email 2 weeks ago and haven't received my PlayBook or heard anything else. I live in Southern California, so I know the device is available in my area. Is this typical or does someone have a contact at RIM?

Thanks goldfidget for the feedback.

We are really excited about the WebWorks platform and how it enables a huge existing community of web developers to create compelling, rich applications on both the BlackBerry smartphone and PlayBook platforms.
The webworks SDK is really surprisingly good. Does it do border-radius? Of course! Can it handle text-shadow? Why yes, really surprisingly well. Bit of a faff getting the packager up and running, for me it required an upgrade to Snow Leopard, but I'm happy to forgive RIM for this.

For the most part they've done it sensibly and well.

Too bad the webworks is awful and useless. If RIM wants apps, then maybe they should make blackberry development possible? Incredibly disappointed. So long, free playbook. It really did look good.
